Melting
Dog Blog Post #372: Oh My Dog was it hot today!
The plants were wilting.
The dogs were wilting.
I was wilting!!!
So, as you can imagine, I was less than overjoyed when I saw the Daily Shoot assignment:
Feature a plant in a photograph today. Domestic, wild, or anything in between is fair game.
One month ago, I would have been in heaven, running around shooting Yarrow or Geraniums or Roses. Today, I was glued to iced beverages and the air conditioner.
The pick of the litter is up top. Henry wasn't about to come out from the shadows, but at least the daylily seems content with the weather.
A few alternates are below...
... and yes, Zachary is actually looking rather perky. Bet you can't guess what he's staring at! Alas, I couldn't bring myself to throw it for him. I'm not altogether certain he wouldn't play to heat exhaustion. :(
In the wake of the hard disk crash, and the subsequent new version of MS Office that we had to acquire, I decided to update the Weekly Worksheet. Below is the new (obviously work-in-progress) format. I decided that over time the old version had acquired too much... stuff... and this seemed a good chance to slim it back down again.
Hopefully, by Monday, I'll have some actually tasks on it. :)

It's very hot over here too especially today. Pumpkin was panting with her mouth open after a short play session just now. That is how hot it is today!
Worksheet looks great! Can't wait to see what you'll be working on. ;-)
Yes, Henry sets off the daylilies perfectly, but Zachery is perfect next to your hydrangea.
Those photos are amazing! We had a really hot day too!
There's an award for you here:

Sounds a bit hot maybe.
Maybe I'm a bit dense this morning, but the worksheet would need some explaining for me to understand what all the categories are.
Love that top photo!! Paw-some, dawgs!!
AROOOOF!
Boondocks and The Love Shack Pack
I love that first one and the one with the hydrangeas! It's tough for me to pick a favorite between them. I wasn't thrilled with the assignment yesterday for the exact same reason!
Then I saw today's and cracked up! I'm dying to see what you've done with it!
I won't tell you that we are in the mid-seventies and absolutely beautiful.
The price we pay for having 359 days of rain.:o)))
These are lovely. Dogs and flowers, two of my favorite things!
I'm lost with the work sheet too, hopefully as I wend my way through your posts as I catch up I will find out about it.
The top photo is stunning, but it's got my favourite colour in it, orange:)
