Dog Blog Post #408: Sigh. Yup, Orange.
Make a photograph dominated by the color orange today.
I think the boys and Miss Bunny are about to storm the Daily Shoot and rip that assignment right out of their database with their bare paws!
Really, there isn't much else to say. The shot up top is one of those backpacking sit-upon things that's supposed to make you think the rocks aren't hard as... well... rocks.
Right.
I'd ask for guesses as to who is holding the Lacrosse Ball, but it's probably pretty obvious.
And for the record (since it came up elsewhere) it is not a crop, but was actually shot just like that.
Not that I'm against cropping.
The picture up top was cropped to even things up a bit.
Hmmm.... I could ask that, I suppose. Any guesses whose paw is in the top shot? :)
And here's some (non-dog) Scavenge Challenge shots. We have...
#21) "Shift your subject to one side and use negative space to emphasize it."
Empty seed pods for Hardy Geraniums |
#23) Five points, pieces, petals, parts, etc. Be creative! Don't simply photograph the number.
I think this is Milkweed. Nasty looking "fangs" on those tiny flowers! |
Want to give a Big Thank You to Greyhound Gardens for sharing some much needed camera setting tips for getting crisp shots of dogs in motion.
I tried it, and darned if it doesn't work.
Alas, you'll have to wait until tomorrow as (a) I don't have anything else lined up for Wordless Wednesday and (b) while the shots are crisp, they aren't that exciting and I'm hoping I can do better tomorrow now that I have a better idea what I'm doing! :)

You do very well with orange, don't rip up the assignments just yet.
Thanks for the shout out, anytime I can help, I'd love to.
Woof! Woof! The lacrosse ball photo is great. The blurry part of the photo added to the beauty of the shot. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
You did a ton better with orange than I did! I swear, I'm just going to go out and buy a box of orange props. Which most likely will guarantee that we never have the darned assignment again! What about a monochrome of any color you like, or a choose your favorite color assignment?
I love that milkweed shot! Those tiny flowers are so pretty!
Okay, when I saw the DS today, I had a crazy idea about getting all four dogs to pose, but I'm not sure I can get Lilac and Morgan to cooperate on that one. We'll see what happens. I'm still mulling this one over!
Love the orange ball shot, so reminds me of Sophie with her Mr. Orangie ball(all the time OCD kinda). Really like the orange mat shot too.
