Dog Blog Post #413: Frantic Friday...
The Daily Shoot assignment was:
Refresh from the summer heat today. Make a photo of water in motion. Freeze it or let it blur!
Well, how easy is that!
Love that dribble... |
These were all shot at 1/1000s between 65-75mm, then letting the camera determine aperture and ISO (f/5.0 for the former, and ISO 160-180 for all but the last, which came in at ISO 360.)
You will notice the conspicuous absence of Zachary in these shots, as he tends to avoid playing in the water these days. He used to love to splash in the kiddie pool, but seems less inclined to run around in the spray than Henry is.
I'm guessing if I took a poll there would be as many forms of water play (or water avoidance, in the case of Beau!) as there are dogs. :)
Editor's Note: Yes, Zachary was chewing on a Lacrosse Ball (gee, what a surprise) and yes, that is Zachary in the slightly-less-than-obvious-which-dog-that-was shot in yesterday's post.

Believe it or not, as much as Sage loves water, she would be right there with Zachary! Wonderful pictures--you are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI love that last shot!
ReplyDeleteAs much as Koira loves water, be it in a kiddy pool, a river, a lake, or pretty much any other form, she hates the hose. Nothing I do can convince her that playing in the hose or a sprinkler is fun.
I love a good shot with dog tongue. Brings a smile to my face every single time. And that last shot with the itty baby water droplets falling is gorgeous. Love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!! Isn't water fascinating, especially when photographed. It looks like your boys enjoyed this photo-shoot too.
ReplyDeleteOH, I just love those water shots! Looks like such cool fun. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteLove those shots!!
ReplyDeleteI still love your water shots! Now this was an assignment I wouldn't mind seeing reappear once or twice more before summer's end. Where was it while we were all sweltering anyway? I'm still mulling over the collection thing, though.
ReplyDeleteHenry looks like he's having a great time!
I love how you even caught little water droplets!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite photos are dogs and water combined. These are wonderful:)
ReplyDeleteFrankie and Beryl don't like the hose either. I have to make do with the sea and the river, lol. They don't mind one little bit.
Water and dogs, they go together like peanut butter and jelly.
ReplyDeleteOr at least some dogs.
I love the water photos! Bella would never play in it, however...
