Dog Blog Post #533: Today's Daily Dog Challenge assignment was...
41. Profile - Let's see a side view of your dog's head today.
I love Zachary's profile, especially when he is looking down at something. The way he arches his neck and his ruff sticks out, makes me think of a knight (horse) on a chess set. :)
This should have been an easy shoot. I pulled out the backboard and fabric (back in the poorly lit kitchen, as the dining room now houses the tree) then decided to drag a floor lamp in from the study to see if that didn't help the lighting at least a little.
Did it?
Then added a dog, a Christmas bag, and some cookies. Easy, right?
The first thing I discovered is that I didn't have a long enough delay set on the camera - so my first picture came out something like this...
(Well, how would YOU get a dog to look in a bag? I was putting a bowl of cookies in it!)
After I fixed that, the shots with Zachary mainly went off without a hitch.
And Henry? Well.. Let's just say he got off to a rough start, earning him a Mischief Monday Montage all his own...
Once we got the kinks worked out of the that I discovered a bit of a flaw in my Perfect Profile Plan...
... it seems that in profile, Henry is All Ears. Oh well, perhaps a 3/4 look suits him better. :)

Loving how the tip of his tongue sticks out in the top pic! And the mischief montage is great! Top marks for mischief *waggy tail*
ReplyDeleteI love how you have matching poses in that one picture! :P I think the pictures turned out really cute, and I agree, that arch to his neck really does make him look regal!
ReplyDeleteThat's cute, what patience you both have. Love the little tongue hanging out.
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing patience.
ReplyDeleteHaha,
ReplyDeleteWell you did put cookies in the bag!! Tee Hee - I think I'd have dived in too!! :)
Glad you're having fun,
Your pal Snoopy :)
