Our Daily Challenge - January 19, 2012 - "A Favorite Thing"

Whew - an easy night!

Figuring a nice shot of the boys playing bitey-face would satisfy, and it was only a matter of time until I was obliged, I turned my attention to what remains of the Scavenge Challenge list for January, spotting:

"#10. How or what do you recycle? Make it look good!"

Hmmm... on the surface, also an easy one. Zachary has a trick of throwing paper in a can, which would work beautifully (I know, I've done it twice before). At this point, I'll turn the story over to what I wrote in the flickr description:

I was getting "the set" all set up for an elaborate shot with three paper bags (with recycle symbols specifically printed for paper, cans, and plastic) and the appropriate "trash".

I had the backboard up, fabric draped, tripod positioned, camera screwed onto battery pack and Speedlight (covered in Black Floamie Thing) snapped onto the camera…

WHEN

I looked up to see Zachary contentedly chewing on his Zogoflex Bumi - a floatable, chewable, tuggable, durable, Eco-friendly (so says their ads)

-and-

100% Recyclable

… dog Toy.

And, really, isn't any picture with Zachary in it a good looking picture? :)

FWIW: No, I'm not affiliated with the company, the product, etc. No, I didn't get anything free. No, no one asked me for a review.

I just picked one up at REI, on a whim, as a Christmas present for the boys, and they have been most pleased with the purchase. I have no idea if it would hold up for real power chewers, but it's taken the golden boys steady gnawing and tugging, for days on end, seeming without a scratch, where tennis balls fail in just a minute or two.

No, I have no idea why they are called feathers!
