Curvaceous Canines

Curvaceous Canines

Dog Blog Post #691: Today's Daily Dog Challenge was...

199. "Curves" -Nature doesn't make mistakes, and often we miss some of the perfection of her subtleties. Take a picture today that shows us some of your dog's curves!

PLUS

Our Daily Challenge - May 17, 2012 - Begins with "C"

Ears, foreheads, noses, paws.... lots of curves!

I even threw it in as another picture for...

Scavenge Challenge May 2012 - "14. Alphabet soup: your subject must be a noun starting with 'Gr...'"

... as in "The GRoup is napping".

These shots were taken with my brand new AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D lens - a surprise gift today from hubby!

I now have TWO lenses for my Nikon D7000, and I almost feel like a real photographer. :)

While I was playing in a bright sunbeam today, this lens is supposed to excel in low-light (e.g. my kitchen) and for (puppy) portraits.

I must say, after spending a year with a 18-200mm zoom lens, it was a bit novel to have to actually move me in order to zoom in and out.

Perhaps they should market it as a dual hobby and exercise program: (cue the annoying announcer voice)...

It's Zippy Zoomer time!

  1. I really love how these turned out! You did a great job with that, and I love the sunbeams on them. You were already a real photographer before you got the lens, though! ;)

Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great day today!
