Keeping Your Cool

Keeping Your Cool

Dog Blog Post #715: Today was a quick day - not because it had to be, but because I took what life handed me.

Scavenge Challenge June 2012 - "4. Spirals occur in shells, as coils and springs and many other places. Present one creatively."

Not entirely sure how creative the actual shot is, but I rather liked the post-processing (above). Made me feel cool just looking at it. :)

Daily Dog Challenge "223. "Beating the Weather" - The weather this time of year can be tricky. Show us how your dog is beating the heat, cold, rain or whatever else pops up today!"

Henry's hardworking fan. It runs continuously from May to late October, keeping the thick-coated Henry from melting in our air conditioned 75F house. It gets a short break, then is back at it non-stop from January until May, drying out the Lacrosse gear.

An ex-pen typically surrounds the fan (but was removed for this shot) keeping dog and equipment safely separated.

Monday Mischief: Right before I took this shot, I took a moment to turn off the fan and give it a good vacuuming. Henry never left my side, and looked incredibly worried the entire time. He was much relieved when I plugged it back in and turned it on. I think if I'd taken much longer he would have called the SPCA!

Our Daily Challenge - June 10 2012 - "Begins with 'W'"

Ok… this is the third time this letter has come up in the past two weeks.

Now, "W" is a fine letter - a favorite of Henry's, in fact, as it's associated with the lovely WHIRRING sound that lets Henry know his fan is still working.

But still - after Woobies, Wool, and now Whirring - I'm kinda tapped out in the 'W' department!

  4. I love the blue processing! This really reminds me of Lilac and her fan. We don't even have it set up this summer... Fortunately, Kuster hasn't taken on that of her traits!
