The shots above have absolutely nothing to do with anything. That said, here's some commentary for the bottom shot:
When Zachary wants to play, he flops the ground and starts rolling around while showing off his teeth.
As shown here.
Henry can't resist.
When Henry wants to play, he either grabs a toy and starts tossing it around (low probably of success) or grabs a part of Zachary and starts tugging on it (much greater probably of success).
I'd say that the difference is simply each dogs unique playing style, except that long before Henry's time, we had another Golden named Beau (the darker dog on my buddy icon - the lighter being a young Zachary).
And Beau's playing style was just like Zachary's. And Zachary (who was 4.5 years younger than Beau) had a playing style just like Henry's (who is 2+ years younger than Zachary) is now.
Whew.
A whole lot of words to say the boys are just having fun.
The shots below are for...
Daily Dog Challenge "347. Simplicity"
Our Daily Challenge - Oct 12, 2012 - "Contre-Jour"
Was gone all day (during daylight hours) and so had to find an alternative form of backlighting.
This is two CFLs hiding behind one umbrella, with no flash or lights anywhere else.
And Zachary (top) and Henry (bottom).
Those who have a rough time telling the boys apart might be surprised just how different their profiles are.
The camera placement, lights, and umbrella are identical in the shots.
The veins in the umbrella show that the shots were cropped slightly differently, as the boys were posed in relatively, but not exactly, the same spot.

Your cotre-jour shots turned out really cool! I really like that effect.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am stuck in Tennessee thanks to United Airlines deciding not to show up with a plane after I had to get out of bed before dawn had even arrived. I have no faith in their ability to get me home at all at this point.
Hi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteBOL! I love it!
Also like the profiles...very artistic!
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
The look on Henry's (hope I got it right) face in the second photo is priceless!
ReplyDeleteHey Henry, Hey Zachary, Jet here.
ReplyDeleteSorry we haven't visited in a while. We love your shots today. (always in truth) Zach and I have the same style of play and JJ and Henry have the same. :) Wonder what would happen if we all played together.
Are you practicing for Treat-or-Treat? I am! Boo! *giggles*
