Renaming A Blog?

We interrupt this blog for a brief question to anyone out there who cares to offer an opinion.

As is probably obvious to most :) "BZ Training" doesn't really spend much time talking about training these days. Interests change, and so have mine, and my joy lies in Photography these days - an activity that the boys are as excited about each evening as I am - and sharing the secret world the boys live in.

So... the question is:

Would there be any harm (that anyone can think of) with changing my header to "BZ Dogs", with a subtitle of "The Secret Life of the Suburban Dog".

I do "own" the URL for bzdogs.blogspot.com, but there is nothing there but a few pictures and Big Bold Link back here. I'm not really interested in moving at this time, nor probably any other!

Any input anyone might have on the subject: good idea, bad idea, nobody would have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it... etc... would be greatly appreciated!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled posting...

Daily Dog Challenge "487. One of a Kind"

Our Daily Challenge - Mar 1, 2013 - "A Portrait From Behind"

I wish you could meet the boys in person. While they share the golden temperament that is the hallmark of their breed, there are some notable differences.

Henry (top shot) is a sweet and gentle soul.

If he were a person, he'd be that little kid that walks up to you with a long stemmed daisy clutched in his hand and offers it to you with a smile (and a gentle swish of his luxurious tail!): "Flower?"

I always feel a bit guilty that I'm depriving a little old lady or a special needs child of a gentle and loving companion.

Zachary (second shot) is your classic ball-obsessed retriever, who returns any thrown ball to your feet and dances about until you throw it again.

I honestly believe he is smarter than most honor students.

An excellent student himself, he seems to have infinite patience for learning new things and is immune to repetition.

Yet when the day is done, and I'm curled up on the sofa, he is right there with me, snuggled up as close as he can get - my Snug Bug. :)

  1. Woof! Woof! It's been a while since mom worked in Blogger blog. She moved our blog in WP last year and loves it. Blogger made changes that are annoying. Our suggestion is get your own url/domain that way you can transfer your old posts. Changing your blog to another blogspot.com you'll loose your old post as blogger will see it as a new blog. If you want to stay in blogger that's fine. Your old blogger blogspot url will just point to the new url/domain.
Have a wonderful weekend. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  2. Since you asked, my opinion is that it is your blog and if you want to change the name go for it! Just please give those of us who love your pics plenty of notice so we don't lose you.
I like the new name you're considering :)

  3. I think it's a great idea. Feed those creative juices in any manner that suits....that's what is so important for creative people. Changes are so important because nothing is static.

    Cheers!

  4. I just recently changed my blog title on my blog itself, but left the URL the same. I see no problem with it, since it makes it easier for your followers to find and read your posts that way. And, a lot of blogs don't even start out with a URL that is the same as the title of the blog.

  6. Hi Y'all!

My Human and I have gone to blogs that when you put in the name, another name actually appears in the address bar, but the correct blog appears on the screen.

My Human moved my blog from another service to Blogger years ago...the old posts and a link to Blogger are still are available on the old service.

    Y'all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  7. I'm with Sugar...if you buy the custom URL (which you can do through your blogger dashboard for like $10) and have blogger still "power" the blog (use their dashboard, etc) then you can change the name and not lose everything you have done to date. It's what I did with my blog and the transition was less than a day and everything is still in its rightful spot!

I love the portraits! I may have to try a few more from behind shots. :)

  11. I don't see a problem with just changing your name. Over time blogs evolve just like our interests and I think the titles should reflect that.

    Great photos today!
