Dog Blog Post #1088
I think it's All The Small Things in life - like getting lost in the pages of a good book, if only few a few moments each day - that keep us sane in this far too busy world.
While my tastes typically run to non-fiction these days, I picked up this pair - The Wind and the Willows and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - a few months back after ODC had the Down the Rabbit Hole challenge.
I was an avid reader as a child, still am today, and I must say I heartily enjoyed rereading both of them.
Of course, I then had to ride Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (and take a picture of Mr. Badger's plaque while standing in line) when we went to Disneyland last month. :)

We discovered the Frog and Toad series and they became my favorites to read to our youngest child. Of the two, Wind in the Willows was by far my favorite when I was a youngster. Wonderful post, a nice reminder to savor the bliss in life.
a cuddle and a good read... that sounds so nice... Happy Wednesday!
Good taste in books guys.
Zachary and Henry--you know how to live... reading and snuggling!
Excellent reading and snuggle friend choices and beautiful photos!
Ahh, the classic books. These days I have mostly been reading the non-fiction ones as well with a fiction one here and there.
Love going to Disney!
I still love those colors and how all of the shots turned out! You picked some books that I really love, too!
Your giving me ideas to go back and peek at a few old favourites. Mine were less literary and more girl horse crazy. Lots of Walter Farley and the Black Stallion series. I just grew up and replaced the horses with the dogs ;)
