Zachary: "I can stretch my tongue!" |
Fascinating, really, but not quite what I was looking for.
Please try again.
Zachary: "How about this?" |
Me: "Interesting. But not quite what I was looking for. How about if you bow?"
Zachary: "Do what?"
Me: "Bow"
Zachary: "This?"
Me: "No, that's spin. I want bow."
Zachary: "This? This? This?"
Me: "No, that's wave, shake, and down. I want bow…"
Zachary: "I don't think I know that one." |
Arg!!!!
Next.
Henry: "I don't know bow." |
I know sweetie.
How about if you just stretch you neck and look up me.
Henry: "Like this?" |
Perfect.
(And it would have been, if not for the curtain blocking the light.)
Dog Blog Post #1295
Plan A
Zachary knows how to bow on cue - an action I though would make him look like he was stretching.
Alas, I guess it's been a while since we've done it as it just wasn't coming to him what I was asking - although he threw just about every other behavior at me trying to win the Cookie.
Plan B
I switched to tossing Cookies to see if I could get Zachary to Stretch.
Frankly the whole shoot turned into a stretch of my imagination to see how I could cram my square pegs of pictures into the round hole of the challenge.
As Henry doesn't have a "bow" cue, I just asked him to look up at me.
Too bad the lighting was… poor.

Monday Mischief
Pretty much the entire shoot would fall into that category.
For the Record
My bad, it seems Henry does indeed know how to bow…
Henry: "Nope. Don't remember." |

Love the one with Zachery looking like he is holding his breath.
Blessings,

We like the way Henry is watching the curtain. We likes to stretch but mama knows we don't do it when asked so no photos.
We saw you at Molly's place and thought we would pop over and say Hi.

Nothing like a good stretch when I am doing DOGA. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
Too funny, but sometimes the shots you didn't want turn out to be so much cuter than what you originally had in mind. We dogs can tell what would look good once and a while.
Mom calls it selective memory impaired by flashy beast...in other words when ever the camera appears for forget every trick we have learned :)
You know, you could have used a hair bow. Or a bow tie. ;)

Hi guys Molly the Wally sent me! I think you did great mostly since I don't cooperate well at all! Love Dolly
I taught my dogs to bow, but when I realized that the command Bow sounded too much like Down, I switched it to Curtsy. Now all my dogs Curtsy on command.

I love the set up with the curtain! I'm just sorry they didn't give you what you were asking for. Here's hoping that they remember it in the near future!
