The boys hanging the Christmas Lights, using said lights as my Light Source.

Henry is my go-to dog for "Paws Up" poses. He enjoys the trick and will stand there solidly for as long as I need him to.

Zachary knows the trick, but lacks the patience to hold it.

The other day I tried to show off their differences. Today the focus was their similarities.

A front shot obscures their differences in muzzle length and breadth (Zachary longer, Henry broader) while the blanket masks that Henry's head is rounder.

Turned the reflector black-side out today (anti-reflector?) on the left to limit light to just the flash on the right.

The flash was lowered to dog-head height.

The camera was sitting on the floor.

This put the boys in Partial lighting - an effect I really like.

Our Daily Challenge - Nov 25, 2014 - "One Shot Two Ways"

I know folks have trouble telling the boys apart, something I understand from the viewpoint of looking at other people's dogs but find inexplicable when staring at my own.

Today's shots, in addition to their obvious layout differences, reveal (to me, at least) their very different appearance despite the similar poses.

Top shot is Henry - as soft on the inside as he is on the outside. Head down and demure, ears flopping forward, his "loose jammies" skin and thick ruff shown to their advantages.

He looks every bit the "stuffed animal" sweet that he is.

Second shot is Zachary - smart as can be, always watching and processing what is going on, ready to spring into action if needed.

His skin is tighter, his fur is smoother, his appearance always more taut, if that makes sense.

If you need a dog to unload your drier or pick up your laundry and put in into the basket, he's your guy.

If you just want it hauled around the house, Henry will do. :)

We keep a pile of old blankets and a comforter in the bedroom for the boys to make a Nest as they choose.

Today I grabbed the pile and dropped it in the "studio", turned to set up the camera, and look back to see Henry pawing away at it then plopping down in the middle.

Knitting is definitely a Some Assembly Required task.

Henry just finished his scarf by taking Pieces of yarn and using a crochet hook to add the tassels on the end.

Zachary's Christmas scarf seems to be coming along nicely as well.

I wonder what project they will start next?

Whatever it is, it will have to wait until tomorrow as they are all tuckered out from spending the day at the Day Spa getting primped and pampered.
