Parts Is Parts

Today is one of those of days when the whole wasn't greater than the parts.

That is, I preferred the non-masked images.

(sigh)

The front of the rock

This rock is about the size of my hand.

The shot, above, was my favorite picture of the shoot.

Those two images were combined in strange and mysterious ways in Photoshop Elements, and then had...

... added.

Some additional fiddling occurred back in Lightroom to try to blend it all together.

Crystal Tower

And the tower is about 6-7" tall.  The "glow" is strictly and artifact of it reflecting the flash, and required no additional fancy lighting.

Cool, eh?

Both rock and crystal were just sitting on the floor in front of the backdrop, and I either cropped or masked the floor to make it "go away".

Mr. Henry... staring at... nothing

In both shots of the boys, they were sitting facing the black velvet and staring loving up at me... holding Cookies.
